Latin America, Mexico, ca. first half of the 20th century CE. A fabulous textile shawl composed of thick, tightly-woven natural cotton fibers in hues of gray, red, brown, and white. A column of three diamonds on a brown ground comprise the central decorative component, with large brown triangles surrounded by red and gray stripes on either side. Thick brown and crimson bands separate the triangles from the white fringe-lined lateral borders. A stylish and elegant example! Size: 58.5" W x 30" H (148.6 cm x 76.2 cm).
