Asia, South Korea, ca. mid-20th century CE. Made from a hard pale brown and grey stone and finely polished, this is a simple depiction of an erect phallus with a clearly delineated head. Stone phallic statues are found even in public parks in South Korea, sometimes called dol hareubangs, where they offer protection and fertility and are placed outside of gates for protection against demons when travelers venture between metaphorical and spiritual worlds. Comes with custom stand. Size: 1.6" W x 7.25" H (4.1 cm x 18.4 cm); height on stand: 7.95" (20.1 cm)
