Central Africa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Lega peoples, ca. first half of the 20th century CE. A hand-carved wooden stool with a disc-shaped base, a trio of curved legs, and a circular seat. The top of the seat is decorated with incised linear and stippled motifs, and a petite brass tack with a hemispherical head is fastened in the center. Size: 6.375" W x 4.125" H (16.2 cm x 10.5 cm).
