Native American, Southwestern United States, New Mexico, Zia Pueblo; Acoma Pueblo, ca. late 19th to 20th century CE. A delightful pair of hand-painted pottery bowls: one larger Zia vessel with flared walls adorned with triangular, coil, and linear motifs and the other from Acoma culture and featuring an apple-form body embellished with bands of triangular designs. Size of larger (Zia): 8.25" Diameter x 4.25" H (21 cm x 10.8 cm)

  • Condition: Larger Zia bowl has been professionally repaired with restoration and repainting over break lines; done very well and difficult to notice. Both have expected surface wear commensurate with age. Otherwise, Acoma bowl is intact and both have nice presentations with good remaining pigments.
