Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A mold-formed pottery oil lamp with a bullseye-form base and a pierced handle. Within the tondo is a passionate scene between an entwined man and woman atop a comfortable bed, with curtains and drapery above, and columnar bed feet below. The scene is only interrupted by a circular wick spout. Size: 4.03" L x 2.96" W x 1.5" H (10.2 cm x 7.5 cm x 3.8 cm)
