Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Borneo, Iban Dayak, ca. 19th century CE. A forged-iron ritual blood vessel used by shaman. The shape of the vessel is intended to represent a "spirit boat" which transports the soul of the deceased to the afterlife via a blood offering poured into - and then out of - the container. Size: 9.625" L x 1.625" W x 4.3" H (24.4 cm x 4.1 cm x 10.9 cm)
