Central Asia, India, Nasik-Sagar region, ca. 19th to 20th century CE. A round silver amulet with a gilded decorated surface and a loop for suspension adorned with small gilded granules on its front. The iconography on the amulet represents a woman holding a trident and a large leaf, with a small, four-legged animal behind her. This may be a representation of Durga. (3.52 g; 25 mm). Size: 0.95" W (2.4 cm)

Provenance: Ex-Private Orange County, CA collection acquired between 1990 and 1995
