North America, USA, ca. 19th to early 20th century CE. A fascinating piece of Americana, an antique wooden duck hunting decoy, nicely carved and painted in realistic colors. Along the bottom is a lead strip used for anchoring the duck; this is held in place with long iron nails. Size: 16.85" W x 6.15" H (42.8 cm x 15.6 cm)
