Native American, Navajo Indian Nation, Arizona, ca. 1950. Fine and showy necklace comprised of graduated silver beads in a type called "Navajo Pearls." Made from two convex silver discs soldered together and then hand incised in repeating scalloped pattern. Largest bead measues 1-1/2" D, smallest is 1/4" D. At the end is a length of added silver beads which extends the length by about 3". Size: 28" L (71.1 cm) in total.
