Mexico, ca. 1950. Rare heavy pottery sculpture depicting the last supper. Jesus sits at the head of the table while his 12 disciples sit on long benches to each side. All of the disciples wear the same robes and wear similar beards. On the table in front of them are plates with one fish person and loaves of bread. A strange but charming representation of one of the most famous events in Christian history. Size: 13.5" L x 9" W x 8" H (34.3 cm x 22.9 cm x 20.3 cm)

Provenance: Ex - Morgan estate, Santa Monica, CA.
