Latin America, Mexico, 1903 CE. A framed oil on tin ex-voto painting depicting an ill woman resting upon a bed under the crowned Virgin of the Rosary of Talpa dressed in gold and white robes with golden rays radiating from her head creating a halo effect, floating above a cloud filled sky, all finely painted with both aerial and linear perspective demonstrated. This text is printed in the original dialect and translated into more traditional Spanish as well as English on the museum text panel which is included within the frame on the back side. Size: the ex-voto itself measures 10-1/4" x 7-1/4"; framed 12" x 9-1/4".

The text below reads, "El ano 1903, en la ciudad de Mascota, Habiedo padecido por mucho tiempo una grabe enflamacion y como los medicos de dijeron no habi remedio imboque a Maria Santicima del Rosario de Talpa que intesediera con un querido hijo por lo que quede sana, como testimonio dedico el precente cuadro. Braulia Silva" which translates as follows, "In the year 1903, in the city of Mascota, having suffered for a long time, a grave inflammation and since the doctors told me there was no cure, I invoked Most Holy Mary of the Rosary of Talpa to intercede on behalf of a dear son, thus I was made well. As testimony, I dedicate this picture. Braula Silva"
