A nice collection of 25 red and yellow millefiori glass beads, all cylinder-shaped and of varying lengths, and 52 pale yellow glass "padre beads", the style associated with Spanish missionary priests. Trade beads played a major role in the age of European exploration and colonization, serving as currency on multiple continents. Strung on a modern cord. Size of largest bead: 1.6" W (4.1 cm); length of cord: 28.25" L (71.8 cm)
