Latin America, Spanish Colonial period, ca. 18th to early 19th century CE. An attractive necklace composed of hundreds of petite glass beads in clear, emerald-green, and ruby-red hues. The faceted designs of some beads are elegantly complemented by the spherical and tubular shapes of others, and many of the red and green beads are further accentuated with applied trails of opaque white glass. A wearable and eye-catching example of fine jewelry! Size (necklace): 32" L (81.3 cm); (largest bead - red): 0.4" L x 0.25" W (1 cm x 0.6 cm)

  • Condition: Strung in modern times and wearable as shown. Glass beads are from the Spanish Colonial period, and stringing is modern. Minor abrasions and nicks to some beads, otherwise intact and very good. Lovely coloration throughout.
