Description:

South America, Spanish Colonial period, ca. 17th century CE. A forged-iron collar meant for a slave composed of two semicircular panels joined in the middle with a pair of thick rings. The exterior of each panel is adorned with repeating semicircular motifs, and both panels can be secured shut via a trio of petite loops. Size: 6.125" W x 6.25" H (15.6 cm x 15.9 cm); 3.625" H (9.2 cm) on included custom stand.
