Description:

Western Europe, Spain, ca. late 16th to 17th century CE. A forged-iron cuirass (breastplate) with deep curves on either side for the arms and a thick collar around the neck portion. The tapered design features a rounded central bulb that flares out into a short rim on the bottom, and the front features several hammered vertical bars that coalesce on the bottom. Several perforated holes around the peripheries enabled the attachment of separate armor components like the arm armor and the neck gorget. Size: 13.25" W x 17.25" H (33.7 cm x 43.8 cm)
