Description:

Western Europe, probably England or France, late Medieval period, ca. 12th to 14th century CE. A lovely head carved from chalky-white stone depicting a saintly guise. The head presents with a handlebar mustache flanking full lips, a wild beard, a triangular nose between rounded cheeks, and ovoid eyes beneath raised brows, all framed within the large tufts of his shaggy coiffure. Size: 5.5" W x 8" H (14 cm x 20.3 cm); 8.2" H (20.8 cm) on included custom stand.
