Description:

Southeast Asia, Cambodia, Khmer Empire (Angkor culture), ca. 1200 to 1300 CE. A cast bronze finial stupa shaped oil lamp or reliquary, resting on a domed, bell-shaped body- hollow on the interior. A slender rod column extends upward to the heavens, and a thin disc with concentric ring pattering adorns the base, just above the domed body. The finial tip represents a lotus bud, an auspicious symbol in Buddhist and Hindu beliefs. Size: 2.25" Diameter x 8.25" H (5.7 cm x 21 cm)
