Description:

Western Europe, probably England or France, Medieval period, ca 11th to 14th century CE. A forged iron arrowhead with a flat blade and a long tang. The pointed shoulders of the blade taper to a narrow tip. This large arrowhead would have been mounted on a shaft and could bring about great destruction before hand to hand combat began. By the late 14th century, full plate armor had developed to such an extent, that arrows such as this example would not have been as effective in battle! A great example of medieval period weaponry! Size: 4.25" L x 1.125" W (10.8 cm x 2.9 cm)
