Native American, Southwestern United States, Zuni Pueblo, ca. mid to late-20th century CE. A silver brooch added to a leather bolo cord as the pendant slide, with conical silver end caps. The brooch is inlaid with turquoise, black onyx, nacre, and spondylus shell and is in the form of the mythic figure known as Knifewing. A versatile piece that can be worn as a bolo or just a brooch. Size of bolo cord: 36" L (91.4 cm); brooch: 2" L x 1.55" W (5.1 cm x 3.9 cm)

  • Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition. Patina and dark toning on the silver of brooch and bolo tips. Small nicks to inlaid stones. Leather has some surface wear but intact. Unsigned. Brooch is removable and has a safety pin clasp.
