Description:

United States, World War I era or earlier, ca. 1910s CE. An antique army uniform with a high collar service coat, made from durable wool and cotton lining construction, and matching jodhpur style pants. Sporting eagle emblem buttons, a crossed cannon insignia pin on the collar which indicates field artillery, and a bar pin ("coffin" style") on the right shoulder for second Lieutenant rank. This is a small men's size, the inner jacket pocket has a cloth label with a handwritten name, lot number: 5016, and size 36. The spidery handwriting is hard to discern, but perhaps the soldier could be identified and further researched. Size of jacket: 27" L x 20" W (68.6 cm x 50.8 cm); men's size 36.
