Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 4th century CE. Charming! A fun pair of earrings each made from 11 ancient glass beads. The beads consist of spherical and rounded shapes in cobalt, teal, yellow, black and aubergine. The small beads are each on individual modern findings and arranged in a dangling cluster along a modern silver chain. The largest bead has a diamond shaped profile with a semi-translucent green hue. The cluster is attached to a modern silver-plated ear hook as a wearable piece. This is an eye-catching accessory that will certainly garner compliments! Size of earrings: 2" L x 0.5" W (5.1 cm x 1.3 cm); largest bead: 0.25" W (0.6 cm)
