Native American, Pan Reservation, Navajo culture ca. 1960s . Wool rug with serrated diamond design comprised of handspun natural white and grey, handspun vegetal green, and handspun aniline black. Some Navaho textiles created during the trading post period are not identified with a distinct style. Weavers often were inspired by various designs and motifs, hence the term "Pan Regional" - a phrase coined by trader and author Gilbert Maxwell. 31" x 59"
