Description:

Northern Europe, Viking / Norse culture, ca. 9th to 11th century CE. A beautiful Viking ring, of a thick composition and made from high-grade silver, with a smooth lower ring band and a textured shank. The shank is detailed with a spiraling coil of twisted silver wire which gives it both an appealing texture as well as the increased likelihood to stay on one's finger. This fine example of Viking silver jewelry would have signified the wealth of its owner, and likely would have been buried along with the owner upon their death. A wearable example of fashionable Viking jewelry! Size: 1" in diameter (2.5 cm); quality of silver: 97 - 98%; total weight: 4.5 grams; US ring size 10.5.
