Description:

Northwestern Europe, Viking to Medieval culture, ca. 8th to 13th century CE. A collection of iron weapon fragments and a bronze ring, perhaps gathered from old battle sites. The 6 assorted iron arrow / spear tips are a variety of types, perhaps for both long bows and crossbows. The ring is cast from bronze into a thin band and worked into decorative twisted / plaited form. The ring is wearable, but the thinning band makes this unsuitable for everyday use as a finger ring but could be worn as a pendant. Size of lanceolate arrow: 3.5" L x 0.5" W (8.9 cm x 1.3 cm); ring band opening: 0.81" Diameter (2.1 cm); US ring size 9.5.
