Northern Europe, Viking or Norse culture, ca. 800 to 1100 CE. A forged iron Viking arrowhead that has been made wearable with a sterling silver bail as a pendant. The arrow is petaloid shaped, with a tapered tip, and flared shoulder, all enveloped in a rich dark brown and nearly black patina. The short tang is attached to a modern silver bail cap, which is strung on a modern cord with a lobster clasp. This is a wearable accessory, and a unique statement piece perfect for those fascinated by Viking culture. Size of pendant: 3.4" L x 0.9" W (8.6 cm x 2.3 cm); of strand: 22.5" L (57.2 cm)
