A superb necklace comprised of forty Viking-era glass beads, a thin sterling silver chain and lobster clasp, and a huge cast-bronze, ladder-form pendant consisting of two ribbed horizontal bars conjoined with five thin rectangular strips. Some of the glass beads have striated and multi-colored compositions, and others display beautiful areas of silvery and rainbow iridescence. Strung in modern times, this stunning piece of jewelry is wearable and quite chic! Size: 17.25" L (43.8 cm); size of largest bead (bronze): 2.625" L (6.7 cm); grade of sterling silver: 92.5% or higher.

  • Condition: Strung in modern times and wearable as shown. Glass beads have light earthen deposits, minute chips and abrasions, and some with silvery or rainbow iridescence. Bronze bead has lovely green patina and some roughness to vertical conjoining strips. All beads have age-commensurate surface wear.
