Description:

Northern Europe, Viking or Norse culture, ca. 8th to 11th century CE. A fabulous and wearable necklace comprised of 19 hand-formed glass beads in hues of crimson, wheat, turquoise, jet black, cobalt, and teal. The beads are either ovoid, spherical, or tubular in form, with two beads bearing a knobbed surface. The central millefiori-style bead has small canes of white and red glass coursing throughout the black body and make for an interesting eye-shaped motif. The beads are pierced through the middle for suspension and strung on a modern leather necklace cord with a sterling silver loop and lobster clasp combo on the terminals. Size 5(necklace): 19" L (48.3 cm); size (largest bead): 0.5" W (1.3 cm); quality of sterling silver: 92.5% or higher.
