Southeast Asia, Vietnam, the first Bac thuoc (Northern domination), ca. 111 BCE to 40 CE. A large, buff terracotta bowl with a wide mouth and flanged rim. During this time, the Han Chinese had taken control of the fertile Red River delta, where many of the Vietnamese kilns were, and as a result, Vietnamese artisans adopted Chinese styles. Size: 10.5" W x 4.45" H (26.7 cm x 11.3 cm)
