Description:

Ancient Southeast Asia, Vietnam, Dong Son culture, ca. late 1st millennium BCE. A nice gathering of cast-bronzes weaponry from ancient Vietnam. First is a leaded bronze petaloid spear head with a central midrib, a pair of slit-form perforations on the blade, and a tapered socketing shaft. Second is a petite bronze dagger with sharpened edges and a forked pommel on the handle. The largest weapon is a tinned bronze petaloid dagger with a bulbous handle and tightly coiled quillons comprising the hand guard. Size of largest (coiled quillons): 7.1" L x 1.4" W (18 cm x 3.6 cm)
