Vietnam, Dong Son culture, ca. 500 BCE to 0 CE. A small round bronze bell with two loops for suspension and a textured design on its body. A thin slit serves as the opening for sound. A piece of metal is inside the bell, allowing it to make sound. Based on the bronze they left behind, musical instruments were hugely important in this culture, made of the precious metal and often found in high status burials. Size: 2" W (5.1 cm)
