Description:

Vietnam, Dong Son culture, ca. 1000 to 1 BCE. Small cast bronze bell with bull's head and horns in relief, large bale and suspension loops on each side; horizontal lines as added decoration. The details on the bull face are particularly charming. Dimensions: 2" x 2" x 2". All items legal to buy/sell under U.S. Statute covering cultural patrimony Code 2600, CHAPTER 14, and are guaranteed to be as described or your money back. A Certificate of Authenticity will accompany all winning bids.#101016

  • Condition: Intact and fully covered in a thin patina, this piece has no evidence of cracks or repairs. The decoration remains fully detailed and is barely worn. There is some black writing on the bottom back of the bell, less than 1" in length, that someone has tried unsuccessfully to clean, leaving a minor dark stain over it.
