Description:

Pre-Columbian, South Coast of Peru, Nazca, ca. 200 to 600 CE. A hand-built pottery vessel of an exceedingly rare type depicting a copulating human couple. The vessel depicts the red figure - the male - on top of the peach-hued figure - the female - both with wide-eyed facial expressions, presumably of enjoyment. The top of the vessel exhibits a pair of conical spouts with a strap handle bridging the gap between. Size: 8" L x 6.25" H (20.3 cm x 15.9 cm)
