Description:

Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, Valdivian culture, ca. 1800 to 1500 BCE. A wonderful hand axe that is hand-carved from mottled, dark green stone with light green and gray inclusions. The T-shaped tool has an elongated blade with an acutely angled blade edge, a stocky body capable of withstanding countless blows, and a thick handle with protruding lateral fins. Lucite display stand for photography purposes only. Size: 4.8" L x 2.7" W (12.2 cm x 6.9 cm)
