North America, United States, ca. early to late 20th century CE. A collection of hand carved wood and paper mache hunting decoy ducks. The miniature duck is by the Carry Lite company from Milwaukee Wisconsin, and a salesman promotional sample, made of paper mache with the label on the base. The largest duck is made for Abercrombie and Fitch by Decoys Unlimited. The merganser shaped duck with the slender bill is faint dated on the underside with an engraved initial. The last is a folding wood duck silhouette on a wood base with a lead sinker weight and metal hinges and latch for propping up and folding. Size of Abercrombie duck: 16" L x 6.5" W x 7.5" H (40.6 cm x 16.5 cm x 19 cm)

Provenance: ex-private Bishop Family Trust collection, the Trust of the late Bill Bishop, a noted antiquarian with shops in Scottsdale, Arizona and Allenspark, Colorado, USA, acquired before 2010
