Description:

Pre-Columbian, probably northern highlands of Peru, Recuay culture, ca. 200 to 600 CE. An unusual figural jar with a huge, rounded body, topped by a spout in the form of a human head; the top of the skull has been cut away to form the mouth of the vessel. The neck of the vessel looks like a design of a necklace. Small twin handles sit on the shoulder. Size: 6" W x 6" H (15.2 cm x 15.2 cm)
