Pre-Columbian, Mexico to South America, ca. 1200 BCE to 1500 CE. A pair of necklaces strung with stone and several pottery beads collected from various ancient Pre-Columbian cultures, both with massive pendants at the center. The beads are strung on modern monofilament thread and could be restrung as one desired, perfect for making multiple necklaces or pendants from the stones. Size of longer strand doubled: 24" L (61 cm); shorter strand 18" L (45.7 cm); black pendant: 2.5" L x 2.25" W (6.4 cm x 5.7 cm)

Provenance: private Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA collection; ex-John Hoag collection, Professor at Colorado University Boulder, acquired before 1980
