Description:

Ancient Seas, Middle Miocene to Late Pliocene eras, ca. 28 to 1.5 million years ago. A lovely pair of fossilized teeth from the formidable megalodon shark. The first tooth features a beige-hued enamel bearing hairline fissures and some intact serrations. Its root has a smooth texture and bears mottled sages of brown, orange, and light green. The larger tooth has a light gray lower enamel with a dark gray upper enamel, both with dozens of hairline fissures commensurate with fossilization, and its root has a slightly coarse texture. Both teeth are covered with lustrous patina. Size of largest: 3.25" W x 4.375" H (8.3 cm x 11.1 cm); 4.625" H (11.7 cm) on included custom stand.
