Pakistan/Afghanistan, ca, 3000 to 2500 BCE. Some of the oldest pottery in the world using the wheel technique in its manufacture! These extremely fine-walled vessels are approaching 5000 years old! Both are made of reddish clay and decorated with geometric patterns, the larger with abstract palm trees among a net-like pattern. Size of largest: 4.375" W x 3" H (11.1 cm x 7.6 cm)

Provenance: private southern California, USA collection, acquired in Tucson, Arizona in 2000
