Description:

Native American, Southwestern United States, Hopi, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A pair of hand-painted Sikyatki revival pottery vases, each a cylindrical shape, one with a stylized bird and abstract geometric motifs. These patterns are inspired by prehistoric pottery found at the archaeological site of Sikyatki, located on the Hopi Reservation in Arizona. This revival style emerged in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and both vessels appear to date from the first half of the 20th century if not earlier. Size: 3.75" Diameter x 7" H (9.5 cm x 17.8 cm)
