Native American, Southwestern United States, Hopi, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A pair of hand-built and stone-burnished pottery vases in a tall, cylindrical form, representative of the Sikyatki Revival style. The motifs are inspired by prehistoric pottery discovered at the archaeological site of Sikyatki, located on the Hopi Reservation in Arizona. This revival style emerged in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, blending traditional techniques with innovative aesthetics. Size of largest: 3" Diameter x 7.25" H (7.6 cm x 18.4 cm)
