Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A gathering of 2 hand-built pottery anthropomorphic figures each standing atop a pair of delineated legs, wearing an incised loincloth, and holding both arms to their abdomens. The lighter-hued figure wears a lengthy shell centered on the headdress that rests low on the brow, and the red-orange figure boasts a trio of shells in an arch above a crosshatched headband. Size (lighter hue): 1.1" L x 3.5" W x 7.8" H (2.8 cm x 8.9 cm x 19.8 cm); (red-orange hue): 1.1" L x 3.7" W x 7.25" H (2.8 cm x 9.4 cm x 18.4 cm)
