Ancient Central Asia, Bactria, ca. late 3rd to 2nd millennium BCE. A set of 2 cast-copper axe heads from ancient Bactria, each with a distinct profile. The first axe head bears primarily russet-hued patina and features a trio of spiraling tendrils along the butt-end protrusion. The larger axe head features a larger butt with 2 petite protrusions near the tip. Each blade head exhibits a pair of parallel midribs, and the shafts are pierced for hafting. Size of largest: 8.55" L x 0.8" W x 3" H (21.7 cm x 2 cm x 7.6 cm)
