Bactrian empire, Pakistan or Afghanistan, ca. 500 BCE. A lovely pair of bronze rings, both with striated shanks and round faces presenting schematic anthropomorphic figures, male and female couples, against a spiraled background, the larger composition encircled with substantial round granules. Ring sizes 7.25 and 5.625 Size: larger face measures 1.125" in diameter (2.9 cm); smaller measures .75" in diameter (1.9 cm)

Provenance: Ex-Private Florida collection acquired in the 1980's
