Description:

Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Nayarit, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A set of 2 hand-built and stone-burnished pottery vessels, each exhibiting their own hue of red-orange on their respective surfaces. The spherical jar features a gently tapered neck as well as intricate white-painted linear patterns across the surfaces. The larger bowl exhibits broad brush strokes across the interior and exterior surfaces, and fine-line black lines course around the bottom of the basin and densely across the exterior. Size of largest: 6.57" Diameter x 4.125" H (16.7 cm x 10.5 cm)
