Description:

Pre-Columbian, Mayan Territories, Maya, ca. 500 CE. A group of three tapered hand tools, carved from green-hued hardstone, in a highly stylized ritual form with curved blades opposite of the rounded butt ends. One stone has a light pistachio color with blue-green veining; one stone has a deep forest green color with russet-colored earthen material inside surface pitting, and the last stone is a near-black shade of dark green with a streaking surface. Size of largest stone: 1.375" L x 2.625" W (3.5 cm x 6.7 cm).
