Description:

Ancient Egypt, Third Intermediate Period, 21st Dynasty, ca. 1070 to 943 BCE. A mold-formed pottery ushabti of interesting form that stands in mummiform but has delineated feet - an unusual characteristic. The arms are crossed atop the chest and beneath the lappets of the tripartite wig, and the feminine visage bears rounded cheeks and plump lips. A column of raised hieroglyphs along the front of the legs reads, "The Osiris, the Chantress of Amun, Tanes . . . " where the name is incomplete. Size: 1.1" L x 1.3" W x 4.2" H (2.8 cm x 3.3 cm x 10.7 cm)
