Pre-Columbian, Pre-Columbian, Valley of Mexico, Tlatilco culture, ca. 1200 to 800 BCE; Ecuador, Jamacoaque, ca. 500 CE. A set of 2 hand-built pottery artifacts from ancient Mexico and Ecuador. First is an Tlatilco head with a rare double face decorated with red pigment. The larger artifact is a Jamacoaque feline whistle bearing remains of red and yellow pigment; a nice sound is created when the whistle is blown. Size: 1.7" L x 1.375" W x 2.1" H (4.3 cm x 3.5 cm x 5.3 cm)
