Latin America, Central America, Guatemala, ca. 20th century CE. A trio of hand-carved wooden festival or carnival masks, each depicting a different visage. The first mask bears an intriguing green skin tone, perhaps indicative of being deceased, and the second, cream-hued mask depicts a male face with a petite mustache resting on his upper lip. The largest mask showcases the wild face of a grimacing man with tendril-like beard strands and a coiffure comprised of fish-hook-shaped locks. Size of largest: 4.9" L x 9" W x 16.75" H (12.4 cm x 22.9 cm x 42.5 cm)
