Pre-Columbian, Peru, Chavin culture, ca. 800 to 500 BCE. A trio of hand-built pottery jars, each with a different pattern of lines or lines with spots. Two of the jars feature flared rims used to tie rope around, and the third features 2 pairs of pierced suspension holes. Size of largest: 6.05" W x 5.1" H (15.4 cm x 13 cm)

Provenance: private Carroll collection, Georgia, USA, by descent; ex-private Jim Carroll collection, Maryland, USA, acquired in the 1960s
