North America, United States of America, ca. 1950s CE. A fun ensemble of 4 pieces of Old West memorabilia: 3 brass billfold stamps, 2 of Davy Crockett and 1 of Gene Autrey, and a black leather Gene Autry change purse. The pair of Davy Crocket stamps each shows the bust of the beloved folk hero in the foreground and the inscription "Walt Disney's Davy Crockett." The larger displays a scene of Native American tepees in the background, while the more petite stamp features the words "Indian Fighter" as the frontiersman grasps a gun in front of a map of the eastern United States. Alternatively, the Gene Autry stamp shows the singer on horseback with his name above him. Last, the leather change purse boasts a lustrous black surface and a brass chain. The lovely bag is impressed with a smaller version of the Gene Autry stamp on 1 side and a stamp from the Gene Autry Heritage Museum on the other. Included are 2 leather fragments with Gene Autry stamps. Size of largest: 6.1" L x 3.3" W (15.5 cm x 8.4 cm)
